This is a project a friend of mine and I thought up during high school. Particularly at our elitist magnet school, everyone was ambitious to a fault, and they could not seem to look beyond those unfortunately common goals: money without wealth, fame without respect, and awards without accomplishment. Tired of seeing nothing but their narrow futures, we decided to try to enlighten our fellow students, who didn't care about anything in their lives but grades and careers. Because they and you will soon join the population outside, who condemn themselves to existence when they could have life, seeking nothing more than riches and fame than they rarely ever achieve, and, in which, they find even rarer satisfaction.
You are not your GPA.
You are not your career.
You are not your paycheck.
You are not your possessions.
You are not your parents.
You are not your friends.
The question was: Who exactly are you?
Thus, the Oceano Vox Project was born.

Shout and I make cards and each one features a thought or an idea that we want to share with the world.
They are 4"x5" pieces of cardstock, each with original artwork on the front. There are no duplicates, so we ask that if you find a card, that you do not deface or recreate it. We place the cards in public places (cash registers, store shelves, etc.) for others to find, follow the instructions on the back, and put in a different place for someone else to find. So far, we have cards distributed in Southern California, Massachusetts, and Georgia... if we travel, we'll take the cards with us. This is a non-profit effort - all materials and time are ours to give freely.
If you wish, you can send me quotes, and I might make them into cards.
